If it's not the employment office and it's not the unemployment office, then what is it?

I can't read the writing on the door (ha!-ha!).
Apart from the really big and obvious words (ha-ha, again...). I wish I knew what it was the door to...

It's a great door. It's a particularly nasty door. It's a hard and miserable and bleak and gloomy-in-the-most-unpleasant-way sort of a door.
"It's the Gates of Hell."
It's an abandon-hope-all-ye-who-enter-here sort of a door. The more I look at it the closer to it I get and the less I like the feeling. It's a door that wants to claim you for its own.
I don't like it, and I'm not interested in what's behind it and I don't want to be there.
It's a great picture, though. You've caught the sensibility of the door and its surrounding very....completely.
